Gopal Ravindhran

Gopal Ravindhran started learning mridangam at the age of 6 from Shri Ravindra Bharathy Sridharan. He is now currently learning from Vidwan Shri Neyveli R. Narayanan. Gopal has accompanied renowned vidwans like Sangeeta Kalanidhi Chitravina Ravikiran, Shri Sikkil Gurucharan, Vidwan Madurai GS Mani, Vidushi Sriranjani Santhanagopalan during their visits to the USA at various venues. Gopal has been participating in the Chennai Marghazhi Music festival in December for the last 10 years every year, having performed and continuing to perform at sabhas, temples, and other venues in and around Chennai. He has also had the honor of playing in the Madras Music Academy December Music Season since 2018 and has been invited again to perform in the upcoming December 2023 season.
