Guhan Kumar

Vocal Artiste

Guhan started his musical journey from Smt. Jaya Ramaprasad when he was 4 years old and later from Smt. Rekha Gottumukkala for 4 years which laid a strong foundation in carnatic vocal music. Guhan is currently a disciple of Smt.Dharini Kalyanaraman and has been fortunate to be learning from her for the past 7 years. Guhan’s innate love for music and his curiosity led him to learning Western violin at the age of 5 and Carnatic violin at the age of 8. Guhan is privileged to be part of several music festivals organized by local temples in the past years. He was part of Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra and immensely enjoyed playing in it for the last 5 years. He loves playing violin in his school orchestra and has been part of Honors Orchestra and WMEA All state Symphony and Chamber Orchestra for the past 5 years. He has also participated and won awards in several regional Solo contests, PAFE and Seattle Young Artists Music Festival. In his free time, Guhan enjoys playing video games and chatting with his friends. He is currently a junior at Tesla STEM high school
