Smera Subramanian

Smera Subramanian is currently undergoing training in Carnatic music as both a vocalist and an instrumentalist, deepening her knowledge in both areas. Her journey into Carnatic vocal music began at the age of three under her father's guidance, establishing a strong foundation in this musical tradition. She further honed her skills with advanced training from Dr. Sanjay Subramanian. Currently, Smera continues her vocal education under the guidance of Vidushi Sriranjani Santhanagopalan and Dr. Nanditha Ravi.

She embarked on her violin journey at the age of 4.5 under the tutelage of Grammy-winning violin maestro Shri Ganesh Rajagopalan, learning the intricacies of the instrument from him and laying a solid foundation for her musical pursuits. Presently, she continues her violin education with Vidushi Charumathi Raghuraman. Driven by a fervent desire to deepen her musical understanding, Smera avidly studies music theory and the history of Indian music, following in her mentors' footsteps.

She is currently attending 6th grade at Willows Preparatory School. In her spare time, she enjoys having fun with her younger sister, Swara
